1973 America. Oil crisis. Everyone was wondering where their next tank of gas would come from as well as hoping they didn’t loose their President. (They lost him a year later but their gas came back). This was a Linear induction motor train. 250mph-noiseless propulsion. This is what the Hyperloop is going to utilize I believe.

Lol, the Hyperloop will never be built. Railways are all about economics and the only thing less economically viable than the loop is Greece. Still I love Trains and the Maglev is bloody cool so I look forward to more pointless attempts to re-engineer the train.

I think a large segment of the population was hoping to get rid of Nixon.

True, but the chaos of losing a President with an economic oil crisis and a war that’s just not working out...
